The Joe Joe Project
The heart behind Connections Through Horses — meet the certified instructors and passionate team members who make it all possible.
The Joe Joe Project was created in honor of our grandson, Joe—a joyful, determined, and deeply loved little boy who lived life in his own beautiful way. Joe was nonverbal and faced significant challenges, but that never defined him. He was active, full of life, and found happiness in simple, powerful moments—jumping on the trampoline, being in the water, and spending time with horses. There was something about horses that met Joe exactly where he was. No expectations. No pressure. Just connection. The Joe Joe Project exists to create more of those moments—for children and individuals who experience the world differently, and for families who are searching for connection, growth, and joy. Through the healing presence of horses, we carry Joe’s spirit forward—one ride, one relationship, one breakthrough at a time.

Join The Connected Herd
There's something powerful that happens when a horse meets a human who needs them. Confidence grows. Anxiety softens. Connection begins.
But for many families, this kind of experience is out of reach. That's why we created The Connected Herd — a community of people who believe every child and individual deserves access to the healing power of horses.
